As part of the Society’s mandate to use donations for the betterment of the community, the Society was pleased to donate an Automated External Defibrillator to the St. Martins Volunteer Fire Department. The unit was a gift to the Society from member Elizabeth Clair.

Society Genealogist Faye Marks is pictured handing the unit over to St. Martins Volunteer Fire Chief Carey Gray.

Dear members,
It is with profound sadness that we let you know of the passing today of long-time member, Linda Faye Marks. The Quaco Historical and Library Society, Inc. has lost one of its most faithful and staunchest members with her passing.
Faye has been a member of the Board of Directors for the society for over 20 years, serving in positions as secretary, Archivist and Genealogist. Her dedication to our group, and her willingness to help out wherever she could was well known, as was her ability to bring laughter to any situation. Her legendary, “Disregard last transmission”, during board meetings will be greatly missed.
We, her friends will miss her smile, her jokes, and most of all, her caring heart; may she rest in peace.
Regards,
Carmel Vivier
President, Quaco Historical and Library Society
